2016 Stow Gobbler  – The Race Begins!

The Stow Gobbler is a community race and 5K fun run held every Thanksgiving Day at 8 am in the town of Stow, Massachusetts. It benefits Habitat for Humanity and the Stow Community Chest; in 2017 the race featured over 1,000 runners/walkers/registrations and raised more than $16,000 for these charities! It’s a terrific community event; come out and be sociable with your neighbors and get a run in before putting your turkey in the oven. The Stow Gobbler is sanctioned and certified by the USA Track & Field Association.

Always fun!

The start is at the Stow Community Park at 50 Old Bolton Road, Stow MA 01775 and the finish line is on the adjacent Bose property; parking is available in the Bose facility parking lot at 688 Great Road, Stow MA 01775.

Course Map

The race is sponsored by the Stow Recreation Commission and is traditionally organized by a small team of high school athletes at Nashoba Regional High School; in the past it was first created by the Papanastassiou brothers and then coordinated by the Hurd and Allaire families.  In 2012 and 2013, the race was organized by the Honig, Hangen and Piccioli families. In 2014 and 2015, the race was organized by the Honig, Piccioli and Harnett families.
